This will probably be one of the biggest areas of research for the next several years, so get ready for some exciting observations!
There is a small problem for all of us; we can not observe the majority of the Universe, and therefore we cannot make up the percentage of the galaxies in the cosmos. In physics, we learn that a system with a minuscule amount of matter can produce an explosion of energy. It’s the same for the other elements of a galaxy or the entire Universe. The properties of the elements are such that they can emit enormous amounts of radiation. In order to make up a tiny portion of the cosmos, we have to use something that makes up a significantly larger percent of the total volume of the Universe.
